The Member Pool is exclusive to Sunriver property owners with a valid SROA Member Preference card only. Recreation Plus Cards or the general public do not have access to this facility.

Lap Swim

Bring your own gear. Kickboards and other equipment at the end of a lane most likely belongs to the other swimmer and are not to be shared. Please borrow a club kickboard or buoy for use during your swim, if you need one.

• Lap swim at the SROA Member Pool is for Sunriver property owners with a valid SROA Member Preference card only. Recreation Plus Cards do not have access to this facility.
• Sunbathing is prohibited during lap swim

Lap Swim Etiquette:

• Take the empty lane first. There is no need to share if there are other empty lanes, even if this means you must swim in the shade/sun/not your favorite lane.
• Notify the other swimmer you would like share with them. Flag them down at either end, typically done by gently waving a kickboard in the water as they come into the wall. Ask if you can share the lane.
• Choose a lane according to your speed, not your ego. Take a moment to evaluate the swimmers before you choose to share. If someone is working on butterfly and spreading out maybe pick another lane. If you are trying to qualify for the Olympics, don’t chose to share with a leisurely backstroker.
• Circle Swimming vs Lane Splitting: These are the two ways that swimmers share lanes. Circle means the swimmers follow each other in the lane, swimming down one side of the lane and back on the other side; splitting means each swimmer uses one half of the lane exclusively.
• Don’t split the lane unless agreed to. Circle swim is the general rule of the pool. if you want to split make sure you have a conversation before assuming the other swimmers’ intentions.
• Don’t push off right before a swimmer comes in to turn. Do not wait until the other swimmer is near the turn/wall before pushing off. This will not allow for proper spacing and could result in them pushing off into you or directly beside you.
• Rest in the corners. It is ok to rest between sets and laps but please do so in the corner of the lane so as to no to impede turns. If you hang out in the middle, you might get a flip turn to the face/gut/ back.
• Cross the T to turn. When coming into the wall cross into the center to begin the turn and push off into the opposite side to avoid a possible collision.
• Give other swimmers space. Please do not swim on the heels of one another space yourself out accordingly and pass as needed.
• Lap swimmers must exit the facility when finished and re-check back in for swim sessions.

Member Access 

Must have one of the following valid SROA ID cards to access the Member Pool:

• Member Preference card
• Extended Family card
• Long-term Renter card

Member Guest Access* 

Owners with a valid SROA Member Preference card can bring a maximum of 5 guests with one of the following:

• $15 per guest (4 yrs and older), including spectators OR
• 1 SROA Guest Pass per person (4 yrs and older), including spectators 

* Member guests must be always accompanied by the Member while at the pool.

Rules & Reminders

• PLEASE NOTE: The facility has an occupancy limitation set by Deschutes County. Once that number is reached, you may have to wait until others leave the facility. Also subject to unexpected closures due to wildfire smoke (OSHA regulation), lightning and inclement weather.
• SROA Member Pool is exclusive to Sunriver property owners with a valid SROA Member Preference card only and their accompanied guests. Recreation Plus Cards do not have access to this facility.
• Owners who bring guests MUST STAY WITH THEIR GUESTS while those guests use the pool. This is a member pool and guests are only allowed as a courtesy. If you don't want to stay with your guests, they are welcome to use SHARC. 
• Aquatics subject to unexpected closure due to lightning, inclement weather and hazardous air quality (e.g.: wildfire smoke. This is a state OSHA regulation).
• Cleansing shower required before entering the pools to remove lotion, dirt. This will help lesson the "chlorine" smell and stinging eyes.
• Hot tub users must be 16 and older. 
• Waterslide: Must be at 42 inches tall to ride. Slide rules must be followed at all times. 
• Bring your own towel.
• Children 6 years of age and younger must always be within arm’s reach of parent/guardian, regardless if they are wearing a lifejacket.
• Sunbathing is prohibited during lap swim.
• Reusable swim pants required for non-toilet trained children (this goes over a swim diaper and is available for purchase). Hydrate your children and take frequent bathroom breaks to avoid pool accidents.
• Must be 12 or older to visit the Member Pool without an adult.
• Under the age of 12 must be accompanied by someone 16 and older.
• No running or rough housing in or around the pools, pool decks or hot tub areas.
• No diving.
• No snorkels or fins. Masks and swim goggles are allowed.
• Facility furniture is not allowed on grass.
  • Help keep your new grass healthy.
  • Bringing your own chair is allowed (round tube footing is preferred)
  • Umbrellas must be clipped or tethered to lounge chairs.
  • Staking of shade structures is not allowed.
  • Pop-up canopies or shelters are not allowed.
• Tobacco products (including chew, nicotine pouches), smoking and vaping are prohibited at all SROA facilities, including pool side. If you must partake, please do so at your vehicle.
• SROA is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Food & Drink

• Outside food and drink is allowed.
• NO glass or plastic that shatters.
• Alcohol is permissible (beer and wine only).
• Barbecues are available.
