Board Forum: A Discussion of the Proposed Capital Transfer Fee Subject to a Special Election for Owner Approval
Thursday, Oct. 2, 4 to 5:30 p.m. via Zoom.
This forum, presented by SROA board president Bill Burke, board treasurer Clark Pedersen and general manager James Lewis, will provide information on how the proposed Capital Transfer Fee would work, why the board selected this type of fee to fund future capital projects, and why it is needed. The presentation will be followed by a moderated Q & A session.

In June, SROA hosted an informational forum to share conceptual designs and to gauge owner interest of several projects that were tabled during the 2024 budget process – owners feel are the most important. A follow up forum took place July 24 at SHARC. The forum included the discussion on how to fund some of these projects.
Major projects under consideration included:
- SHARC improvements such as expansion of the fitness center, living room and office space.
- Fort Rock Park improvements and potential additional development.
- Pathway Master Plan buildout with an emphasis on the creation of a Circle 2 to Circle 3 pathway.
