Construction is basically complete, but SHARC will not be fully open to
owners and visitors until spring 2012.
The tubing hill is closed this winter due to ongoing construction. Those looking for snow play areas can go to Mt. Bachelor or an area Sno-Park.
SHARC is the Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center, located on a 22-acre site between Beaver Drive and Overlook Road, bordered on the south by Theater Drive.
Construction of this exciting project began in February 2011. Pre-opening dates of indoor amenities have been set for late April, with a grand opening scheduled of the entire facility during Memorial Day weekend.
Most of the facility will be open to the general public including: indoor and outdoor recreation pools, outdoor adult hot tub, outdoor lazy river, two water slides, tot pool and sand play area, indoor/outdoor café, picnic areas, playground, basketball court, bocce ball, tubing hill and warming pavilion, event/meeting rooms and outdoor amphitheater. Private areas reserved for owners and their guests only include the fitness center, living room and outdoor patio.
