Participation by Sunriver property owners is essential to the governance of Sunriver. Owners can contribute by running for election to the SROA Board of Directors, serving on one of the standing committees, or working on a special project. Participation by both resident and non-resident owners is encouraged, and very much appreciated.

SROA Committees

Communications Committee - The committee shall assist and advise the Board in its efforts to assure that Sunriver has and maintains a modern communications infrastructure which meets the needs of all users including owners, visitors, businesses and SROA. Communications infrastructure includes any service physically installed within SROA boundaries regardless of ownership (i.e. cable television, telephone, DSL) or is only accessible "off-air" from external sources (i.e. cell phone including associated wireless services). The committee will undertake assignments as directed by the board. It will act as a resource for the board when information and/or recommendations are requested on issues pertaining to the communications infrastructure.

Community Planning Committee - To act as a resource for decision making by the board in the development, evolution and maintenance of a consolidated and cohesive plan of changes and investments needed for the healthy future for all Sunriver stakeholders through capabilities in planning, monitoring and trend forecasting for horizons of three to 10 years.

Covenants Committee - To provide the board with a ready source of expertise and advice on matters relating to the SROA governing documents and related legal issues.

Design Committee - The committee shall serve in an advisory capacity to the board to ensure compliance and equity in the implementation of policies, declarations, conditions, covenants, restrictions and other documents pertaining to the physical development of Sunriver.

Election Committee - The Election Committee is formed to administer all elections and other ballot meetings as specified in the SROA Bylaws, Article III and IX.

Environmental Committee - The Committee shall assist and advise the board in its efforts to provide protection for, preservation of and rehabilitation of the Sunriver environment. The committee will undertake assignments as directed by the Board. It will act as a resource for the board when information and/or recommendations are requested on issues pertaining to the environment.

Finance Committee - The committee is to assist the board in its efforts to preserve, protect and enhance the community of Sunriver through sound financial management.

Nominating Committee - The committee has been established by the board to select a slate of candidates for the annual election to the Board of Directors by performing the functions and responsibilities outlined in the committee charter and Article IV, Section 2 of the Bylaws.

Public Affairs Committee - To promote positive relationships with entities and organizations outside Sunriver in the furtherance of the policies and goals of the board; and to assist the board in formulating policies and programs which will be supported by these entities and organizations. The committee and SROA shall not engage in activity in support of or in opposition to any political party or candidate.

Public Safety Committee - The committee shall assist and advise the Board and will undertake assignments as directed by the board to ensure a safe environment in Sunriver by serving as a focal point for safety. The committee shall coordinate its efforts with the Sunriver Service District Managing Board.

Public Works Committee - The committee shall assist and advise the board in its efforts to enhance and maintain common property and facilities consistent with Sunriver's standards. The Committee will undertake assignments as directed by the board. It will act as a resource for the board when information and/or recommendations are requested on issues pertaining to Public Works.

Recreation Committee - The committee will assist the Board and general membership in developing and implementing plans regarding recreation in Sunriver. It will assure that those plans and activities are essential to maintaining Sunriver standards. The committee will undertake assignments as directed by the board. It will act as a resource for the Board when information and/or recommendations are requested in issues pertaining to recreation.
