   Snow removal/frozen

    The SROA Public Works Department is responsible for year-round maintenance and snow plowing of more than 60 miles of roads and 30+ miles of pathways. They also maintain SROA-owned tennis facilities and pools, Fort Rock and Mary McCallum parks, street signs/lights, building maintenance, landscaping, ladder fuels reduction, tree removal on commons and SROA's fleet of vehicles.

    SROA fleet services also performs contract work on Sunriver fire and police department vehicles as well as emergency/fire vehicles for the La Pine Fire Department.

    Recycling Center
    Open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily on Sun Eagle Lane at the Public Works yard. Please follow the posted guidelines for proper recycling. Failure to follow the guidelines results in the entire bin going to the landfill with NONE of it being recycled.


    Ladder fuels pickup
           Between April and October, Public Works crews pick up street-side ladder fuels for property owners. Please follow the required guidelines on the schedule.

    Snow Plowing
    The SROA Public Works Department has a fleet of snow removal vehicles for clearing Sunriver's roads and pathways. During heavy snowfall, the following priorities are observed:
    • Main Sunriver roads (Beaver, Abbot, Center, East & West Cascade, etc.) and fire/police services driveways, parking lots, etc.
    • Secondary roads (Imnaha, Ponderosa, Fort Rock, etc.)
    • Residential lanes & cul-de-sacs
    • Pathways & tunnels
