The annual schedule for ladder fuels pickup by the Sunriver Owners Association Public Works Department takes place between April and October. All roads will be checked and brush picked up on the first full week of each month. Please have brush ready for collection by the first of each of the month. How long it will take to reach your area depends on the amount of brush to be collected from other areas.
NOTE: This service is provided ONLY to individual Sunriver property owners for reduction of ladder fuels. Should an owner decide to use a contractor, the contractor is responsible for removal/disposal of all debris created. Vegetative materials generated for building construction is also the responsibility of the owner and their contractor and will NOT be removed by SROA.
PLEASE OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:
• There is no need to call us. All roads in Sunriver will be checked each month from April to October.
• Cut branches to 8-foot maximum lengths.
• Stack brush next to and parallel with the road edge so equipment can reach it without going off road.
• Bagged materials will NOT be collected.
• Be careful not stack on top of electric/telephone/cable boxes, water/sewer valves and meters, big rocks or sprinklers.
• We cannot pick up pine needles, grass, leaves or small branches that our grapples cannot hold. If you try to include this material we will leave the entire pile.
If you need to dispose of grass clippings, pine needles, or other such organic materials, use the following facilities (there are fees):
• Composting Site at Lake Penhollow (541.593.4197)
• La Pine Transfer Station (541.317.3163)
• Deschutes Recycling at Knott Landfill, Bend (541.388.1910)
FireFree FREE cleanup/disposal days will take place on:
May 1-2, 8 am to 4 pm in Sunriver at Lake Penhollow
May 1-9, 7 am to 4:30 pm at Knott Landfill in Bend
May 15-16, 8 am to 4 pm at La Pine Transfer Station
