What sort of amenities does Sunriver need ... or want?
Is it new roads and pathways, pool, multi-use facility, first-class snow play area, dog park, more tennis courts or upgrades to Mary McCallum and Fort Rock parks? These are some of the questions the Amenities Task Force will soon be asking owners.
• Who is on the Amenities Task Force? Members include resident and non-resident Sunriver property owners, representatives from SROA committees, the board and staff as well as representatives from the Resort and rental management companies.
• Who will decide what amenities will be presented to owners? A subcommittee is currently working to prioritize suggestions presented in the JT Atkins amenities report. Read the full report in the column at left. We've also included the Aquatics Study by Counsilman-Hunsaker. Note: Both of these documents are in pdf format and quite lengthy, so you may want to download the documents to your computer and read them at your leisure.
• How can you as a homeowner participate? Provide feedback to the task force via e-mail or send your thoughts and suggestions to: SROA Amentities Task Force, PO Box 3278 Sunriver, OR 97707. Committee meetings are open to the public. Check the SROA calendar for meeting dates/times.
• How does Sunriver stack up to newer resorts? ATF committee member Jonathan Kahnoski wrote a series of articles comparing Sunriver to other Central Oregon community resorts. If you have any problems, click on the word AuthorStream above the presentation window and you will go to the AuthorStream site where the presentation resides. You can view it there or download it to your computer.
